Not able to program custom board with NRF52840 DK version 3.0.1 using P19 connector

Hi All,

           Recently I ordered one NRF52840 DK and I received it with version 3.0.1. I was able to program my custom device using old DK. But with this new DK I am not able to program the custom board. I saw some tickets which stated that there have been some hardware changes in this new revision and documentation for the same is not updated yet. Can anyone please help me with this? I also see new slot SB19 along with SB47 in new DK. SB19 was not there in previous DK. Please let me know if something needs to be shorted so that I can program my device.

Hi, 

I'm looking into your issue. What voltage is the target device running and which version is your old dk? 

Could you also try to update the jlink debugger SW as seen in this post

Our target device is running at 3V. Old development board was of version "2.0.1".

My nrfjprog and JLINK version is as follows:-

Do i still need to update it?? 

Also the changes/connections mentioned in the link you shared are for programming via P20. How can we make changes to program via P19??

Thanks for the update. 

It should not be needed to do anything with the PCB itself

Can you try to update the firmware on the debugger as shown with Jlink configuration? 

Also, do you have any logs from what happen when you try to debug your device?

I tried upgrading both nrfjprog as well as J link but nothing works. It still does not program my custom board. I  ordered this board as previous version dev kit worked. Unfortunately there is no proper documentation available as well for revision 3.0.1. Please help us with this issue.  Why P19 does not work?

Do you have any logs from what happen when you try to debug your device?
