nRF UART-over-BLE "host" ?

I have the nRF UART-over-BLE examples working on nRF8001 & communicating with the corresponding Android App as "host".

Instead of the Android App, I would like to use an nRF51/52 as "host" - are there any examples of doing that?

Or even using an nRF8001 as "host" ?

Note that this is about the Nordic UART-over-BLE service - not the UART hardware peripheral!

Yes, it exists - ble_app_uart_c ("c" stands for collector). I am running it successfully on nRF51 with SoftDevice 130 and SDK 9.0.0.

and "128bit UUID NUS service" is the same as implemented in the nRF8001 UART examples?

It is the same as in UART/Serial Port Emulation over BLE for nRF51 SDK9.0.0:

The application includes one service: the Nordic UART Service. The 128-bit vendor-specific UUID of the 
Nordic UART Service is 6E400001-B5A3-F393-E0A9-E50E24DCCA9E (16-bit offset: 0x0001).

I guess it is the same on nRF8001, but check to be sure.
