How to config NFC as gpio on nrf54l15?

Hello!

I've just come into contact with the nrf54l15. On the customer's board, it is necessary to change the NFC pin to a regular gpio, and they following the previous nrf52/53 method to add CONFIG_NFCT_PINS_AS_GPIOS=y in prj.conf but it has no effect. Is there any way to achieve it? thank you!

Hi,

For nRF54L15, you need to Disable the NFC use using the PADCONFIG register.

PADCONFIG.ENABLE=Disabled

You ca find more details regarding the same, in the Product Specification of the nRF54L15.

I just faced the same issue, and I was trying to disable NFC in the devicetree.

&nfct {

    status = "disabled";

};

Is this "work in progress" ? - I think accessing the HW regs directly is an ugly solution ;-)
