Safe External 3.3V Supply for VDD and GPIOs in Normal Voltage Mode

When working with the nRF54 PDK, there is a requirement to power the GPIOs with 3.3V. The approach being considered is connecting an external 3.3V supply to the VDD and VDDM pins while the device is in Normal Voltage Mode.

  1. Is it safe to directly connect an external 3.3V supply to these pins in this mode?
  2. Is there a need to disable any internal voltage regulators to avoid potential conflicts or damage to the PDK when 3.3V is applied externally?
