Not able to do recover

Im doing the following:

boggi@getshop-boggi:~$ nrfjprog --recover --log

[error] [ Worker] - Encountered error while performing post-recover cleanup. -90: Access protection is enabled, can't read device version.
ERROR: Recover failed. Please make sure that the correct device family is given
ERROR: and try again.

Im trying to run recover on a standard dev board here is whats on the sticker;

pca10040
3.0.0
2023.22
1050385234

Nothing is connected to it.

nrfjprog --version
nrfjprog version: 10.24.2 external
JLinkARM.dll version: 7.94e

Is my DK broken?

Is it a new DK or have you worked on it before?

What do you see when you try nrfjprog --deviceversion ?

Hello.

It has been working for quite a while.

This happends:

boggi@getshop-boggi:~$ nrfjprog --deviceversion
[error] [ Client] - Encountered error -90: Command read_device_info executed for 5 milliseconds with result -90
1050385234 - UNKNOWN
[error] [ Worker] - Access protection is enabled, can't read device version.

Could you try recovering using the specific family:

nrfjprog --recover --family NRF52
