Hi,
does firmware or example source code exist for the PCA10000 USB dongle that implements the Bluetooth HID host? I would like to use it as receiver for the Nordic Smart Remote 2 Eval Kit running the HID over GATT (device) application.

Thank you Hakon. So the PCA10000 doe not send out any Bluetooth 4.0 information. I just want to confirm that my Note 3 can see some sort of Bluetooth 4.0 device. The Laird BL600 DK I have also does not seem to transmit anything, so I have no way of knowing if my phone can see anything.
Hi Andre,
How are you searching for the device? Note that a conventional search for bluetooth devices may not list bluetooth low energy devices.
Instead, try discovering using "nRFutility" app in play store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nordic.nordicbleapp&hl=en
Hi, just tried that. It said the app is compatible with my device, the Note 3. When I run the app, it gives me a "Device is not supported" error message and then closes down. Running 4.3
Sorry, Andre. Your phone has the stock android bluetooth API, and that app uses the older samsung API for bluetooth low energy.
This app is "stock 4.3"-compatible: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=no.nordicsemi.android.mcp&hl=en
These are also stock-4.3 compatible: "nRF UART 2.0" and "nRF Temp 2.0"
