Autoconnect Not working

I tested Auto connect with NRF52832 UART APP(S132 softdevice), and nRF Master Control Panel APP. I tested with samsung s3 neo and Moto G3 , but it is not working. In which Smart Phone this will work and why it is not working on other Smart Phones. In my earlier query I got an answer like autoconnect can be done at application level. But Why it is not working with my set up ?

Hi Thangaraj, Could you try to test with proximity app in nRFToolbox. I'm suspecting it could be a bug with nRF MCP. You can test with nRF UART app, and adding autoconnect = true when calling connectGatt()

Hi Hung, Thanks for your reply , But I could not find any options like autoconnect in nRF toolbox .

It's by default used in the Proximity app in nRF Toolbox, you don't have an option to select it. You would need to flash ble_app_proximity to test with Proximity app in Toolbox.

Hi I tested with nRF ToolBox also , it doesnt work for me ......... I also tried changing the UART app Android source code the changes you said "autoconnect=true" but that also did not work,

@Thangaraj: Could you let me know which phone did you test with ? Proximity worked fine with my phone (Galaxy S6) As long as the peripheral advertises after you bring it out of range and back, or turn it off and on, the phone should re-connect to it. If the phone doesn't it's a bug with the phone/Android, I don't think we can do anything about that.

Our suggestion is to re-connect manually from the app.
