Does SDK 3.3 support building hci-lpuart for the Thingy91x yet? I would love to change to that device if it does.
If it does not, are there plans to implement it?

Hello,
Currently, the HCI LPUART sample supports the nRF9160 DK as well as the Thingy:91. As of now, the sample is not supported on the Thingy:91x and I don't think there are any plans to implement this yet but I will confirm with the team about this and get back to you. Please note that for the Thingy:91, a debugger and a 10-pin SWD cable has to be used to program it.
Let me know if you have any further questions.
Best Regards,
Samruddhi
Are you aware of any technical issues with porting the code. We really like the Thingy concept and have shipped 1,000 of them to customers. The benefits of the 91x, with WiFi make it an even more powerful IoT hub. Perhaps we will contract someone to port it.
Hello,
I am looking into potential technical issues with porting the code internally with the team and need some more time. Please note that there may be some delay in response due to holiday Thursday this week. I will get back to you with an update by the end of this week or start of next week. Thanks for your patience.
Best Regards,
Samruddhi
Hello Rich,
I can see that you had asked about this in a similar case previously. Did you get a chance to compare the configurations for Thingy:91 and Thingy:91x? As it was mentioned before, although this sample isn't supported by the Thingy:91x yet, you can try to modify some pins in devicetree and the Kconfig options as well in order to get it to function. I am still looking into this internally with the team and will get back to you soon with an update.
Best Regards,
Samruddhi
Yes we asked about it back when the device came out. We are quite busy with other work so we try to squeeze things like this in when we have time. (or contract it out).
