for merge hex files

Hi. I'm using nRF51822AC, SDK12.2.0, S130 v2.0.1 as central.

I'm using mergehex for merging hex files. It's mergehex --merge s130_nrf51_2.0.1_softdevice.hex nrf51422_xxac.hex --output out.hex It has worked well.

But after I added bootloader_secure as below

mergehex --merge s130_nrf51_2.0.1_softdevice.hex nrf51422_xxac.hex bootloader_secure.hex --output out.hex

I faced a problem. I can download merged file to J-flash, but it can't download file to target.

I think it's memory map problem.

I'm using memory map as below.

App : IROM1 : Start :0x1B000 Size : 0x1FC00

Boot: IROM1 : Start :0x3AC00 Size : 0x5000

Is it right?

I need your help.

Ps. When I compile and execute bootloader, I can see the keil message as below.

No Algorithm found for: 10001014H - 10001017H Partial Erase Done (areas with no algorithms skipped!) No Algorithm found for: 10001014H - 10001017H Partial Programming Done (areas with no algorithms skipped!) Partial Verify OK (areas with no algorithms skipped!) Application running ...

I didn't care because code was running well.

You should not have any issue writing to/erasing the UICR registers using J-Flash, see this post.

Thanks. But i'm so confused. That post is for SDK11 I think. I can't find "dfu_init.h" or "dfu_init_template.c" files.

Can you just tell me how to make UCIR value keep 0xffff?

I faced a big big problem. After erase all, I can download merged file but DFU doesn't work at all. Not at all. I can't update FW using smartphone now. I think it's UICR. As I know UICR has information for application version, and boot version... etc... How can I match these information? It's very urgent.

I need your help.

The only thing that the bootloader stores in the UICR registers is the bootloader start address that the MBR branches to instead of the application when the bootloader is present. It could sound like you have run into this known issue with the bootloader. Can you check and see if the proposed answer solves your issue?
