active scanning process with scan request and scan response

I use active scanning ,the observer will send a scan request when it hears and advertiser, and will listen for a scan response.I only see the scan event, but sent request and listen response is not in the picture。I want to know the scan process including sent scan request and listen for scan response。image description

  • Hi King,

We don't have that for now. I can send a request to the team to think about adding more figure in the next version of the SDS.

May I ask what do you plan to do with the data? I guess it has something to do with the timing ?

If you simply want to do current measurement you can use the PPK kit as suggested in your another case.

  • I afraid even with the graph it will be hard to really calculate the average current consumption. The reason is that the rate how often the scanner capture an advertising packet and send the request (and receive a response) is not easy to calculate. It's depends on lots of criteria, such as advertising interval, scan window, scan interval, and the random advertising delay added.

You can have a rough number of current consumption with common tool, such as the multimeter. Note that if you are concern ab the peak current, you can get the peak current by having a look at the TX current and RX current it should be the same as when doing normal scanning or advertising etc.
