Connection with Samsung Galaxy S5 Neo not possible

Hi,
I want to try to connect a Samsung Galaxy S5 Neo (Android 6.0.1) with nRFConnect App with the HeartRateService example. The HRS runs on a nRF52840 Preview DK with SDK14.2 and s140_nrf52840_5.0.0-2.alpha_softdevice. The connection procedure always fails.
With my tablet Nexus9 with Android 7.1.1 all works fine...

I ve already posted the issue in github of nrfConnect (https://github.com/NordicSemiconductor/Android-nRF-Connect/issues/57) and the guy there asked me to post the issue here in the devzone.

Attached you can find the wireshark log.

In the meantime I have tested it also with the HRS example from  SDK 15 with the new Softdevice, but the connection also does not work.

Have you an idea what causes the problem?

You haven't modified anything in the examples you tried with? Can you also send me a sniffer of a successfull connection with your Nexus 9 Tablet?

In nRF Connect, do you get any errors in the log when the connection procedure fails?

nrfConnect on the Samsung Galaxy S5 Neo displays: connected and then ERROR 129(0x81): GATT INTERNAL ERROR and Error 22 (0x16): GATT CONN TERMINAL HOST.

Hi,

Can you try delete the bonding information and see if this solves the issue?

GATT INTERNAL ERROR 129(0x81) might occur if the phone expects to be bonded with the device. Have a look at this post.
