nRF connect Bluetooth Low Energy Unable to create adapter (Not able to find COM6).

Hello,

I am evaluating the module MBN52832 from Murata (Using the development kit). I have installed nRF Connect v2.3 and I have installed and launched Bluetooth Low Energy app. I select the serial port (in this case COM6) . I see the error below. Not able to find COM6.

If I launch RSSI Viewer and I select COM6, it works perfectly, and I can see the different frequencies signal strength and I can read in the log COM6 is open.

I want to check the simultaneous connections of the module.

How can I solve this?

Thanks in advance,

Aitor

  • I wasn't able to reprogram the J-Link Firmware. I think the way to do it is (In Muratas MBN52832DK): with SW3 button pressed (I put a button and check the BOOT signal), unplug and plug the USB connector and an explorer windows should appear. It doesn´t.

If the explorer appeared, I should drop the J-Link OB-SAM3U128-V2-NordicSemi 170724.bin file to the new drive that appears and that’s the way to reprogram the firmware.

I have programmed the Development Kit twice, with Proximity demo first and then with Heart rate monitor, and I could connect to the Bluetooth via nRF connect app.

    How can I install the J-Link OB-SAM3U128-V2-NordicSemi 170724.bin file?

    Thanks in advance,

  • I'm not sure how to enter bootloader on the MBN52832DK, but on the nRF52832 DK you have to hold the BOOT/RESET button which is pin P0.21.

Which Jlink version do you use? Can you try downloading the J-Link Software and use the J-Link Configurator to replace the firmware?(Inside J-Link Configurator, right click on the device and press "Replace firmware")
