please guide me to active LTE in Iran. i used several modem firmware release and can't connect to the network. im using nRF9160 DK and testing with AT sample programmed and LTE Link Monitor App.

thanks for the time and reply. i didnt understand one thing that LTE-M can be used with standard LTE network from our sim provider or they should have some add-on equipment in the towers so we can use LTE-M? and is it possible to use standard LTE with this chip (2g,3g,4g that mobile phones uses for example)?

If they already support 4G they typically only need to update the software running in the base station, but older base stations might require a hardware update also.

Haven't this been answered once or twice already? ;)
The answer is no, the nRF9160 does not support older LTE standards, only LTE-M1 and NB-IoT.
