Unable to provision external nRf52832 modules using nRF mesh APP

Hello,

I was able to program the mesh experimental dimming example(server) into the external nRF52832 module using the debug out pins on the nRF52 DK.

The programming was successful and the module can advertise.

However, when I tried to provision it using the APP, it was not able to provision the external module. I see screen shot as below:

What could be the reason why I am not able to provision this external module?

The APP provisions and works properly when using the nRF52 DK but not with this external module.

I tried with another phone. Same thing. Initially I powered the external module via DK VDD and GND. With that, I was able to see the module advertise but couldn't provision. But when I power the module with an external power supply, it didn't advertise at all. I am using EBYTE nRF52832 module.

Can you try provision with our static provisioner found in our SDK? Do you see the same issue there?

Also which Mesh SDK version are you using?

I found out the problem is with the clock source. Using the guideline from this link, the external module was able to advertise, and I can provision it.
