from System off to system on for power optimize?

Hi

I m using NRF52832 for beacon application.In my application, the device should be in the system off mode .After holding button for 5 secs, the system will back to idle mode.Main purpose is to reduce the battery lose during transportations and stocks. please help me out for the condition. Thanks in advance

Hi,

A good starting point would be to merge the BSP and beacon example. You could start an app timer when the button is pressed and stop the timer when the button is released. Next, you could then have a conditional statement that goes to sleep if the timer is equal or over 5 seconds.

when i use NRF_POWER->SYSTEMOFF = 1, i cant able to wake up from system off mode by using timer.

All timers are disabled in SYSTEM OFF, you should instead call nrf_pwr_mgmt_run() as in the beacon example.

My beacon application power takes 13uA on idle state.

i want to optimise the power while my board is on transport or stocks.At the moment i want to my custom board should be in minimum power consumption.

which the best the way to optimise the power?

NRF_POWER->SYSTEMOFF = 1 or nrf_pwr_mgmt_run().

Please suggest me.

It entirely depends on your application, waking up from SYSTEM OFF will reset the application, however waking up from SYSTEM ON sleep ( nrf_pwr_mgmt_run) will not reset the application.
