How to setup Development Environemnt on Mac OS X

Hi guys,

I have the nRF51 Development Kit, and I am trying to develop on my mac using GCC and eclipse. However, the tutorial I found either incomplete or outdated. I tried to setup on the VBox, but for some reasons, the I VBox can't connect to the board/the host(Mac OS X) won't disconnect to board so the windows environment in VBox can't connect. Anyway, I still want to development in the native environment that I have which is Mac OS X 10.10. I've read this (devzone.nordicsemi.com/.../), but it didn't provide the specific way to setup other than link to the tools. I hope anyone could help me out. Thanks.

Did you try this one: devzone.nordicsemi.com/.../ ?

It mainly focuses on GCC, but once you have that set up it shouldn't be hard to include it in Eclipse. I linked to a guide for Linux that should work equally well for OS X.

I tried that, I ended up with a lot of path issues on eclipse. I put the sdk and CMSIS according to the post.
