ERROR 8 [NRF_ERROR_INVALID_STATE]

Hi,

I have to implement customized services in my project.I think it is better to have seperate files for service inititialization.For that purpose I have seperated service init related functions from main.c using template provided in examples of SDK15.3.0 .It was compiled successfully  but on debugging I was stuck with below error

  

The above error is from below function call

Can you please let me know how to rectify it or reason for the error?

Hi,

You get this error if the module is not initialized. Did you call nrf_ble_qwr_init() before the connection was established?

yes,I have called  nrf_ble_qwr_init()  within services_init() and services_init() is called before conn_params_init().

Are you checking the error code from nrf_ble_qwr_init, to make sure it is successfully initialized, and check that you initialize the same instance of queued writes module as you use in subsequent calls?

I can't see anything else that can cause this function to return this error code.

Yes I have checked error code from nrf_ble_qwr_init,it is returning NRF_SUCCESS,Error8 is from nrf_ble_qwr_conn_handle_assign.The below is the case where exactly the error is raised from

Look at the nrf_ble_qwr.c source:

The handle assignmend function is really simple and can only return the INVALID STATE error if the module was not properly initialized (VERIFY_MODULE_INITIALIZED() macro).

You can just check what values are in m_qwr using the debugger. The .initialized member is not set up properly - if OPs error description was correct.
