nRF51 DK Virtual Uart

Hi Team,

I am testing UART on nRF51 DK kit. I have flashed uart_pca10028.
I have taken out jumpers from P0.9(TX), P0.11(RX) and GND and connected to PC com port.

Now behavior is, on power on all 4 LEDs on board are ON. When I Insert jumper on P0.11 all 4 LEDs goes dim.

Nothing is received on PUTTY.

Any idea? Can anyone suggest how to check this ?

Hi Aryan,

I think step 2 needs to be corrected.

2) plug in your device PCA100028, it should not be available in your PC as a COMXX device.

What I did,

1. connected the board to PC. At this time in Device Manager there was no virtual com port.
2. I have opened J-Link commander and given command "vcom enable". Reset the board and in device manager new com port popped up.
3. I opened the PUTTY on that new com port popped in step 2
4. then I have flashed the board with the desired program and it worked fine.
