Getting Started with the DFU

I'm using SDK 7.1, PCA10028 eval board, SD110, MCP 3.8.0.7

I've compiled and loaded the dfu_dual_bank_ble_s110 project into my PCA100028 board. It shows up in the MCP as :DfuTag. I connect and discover services. The DFU button in the MCP is active. So far so good.

I click the DFU button, and it is looking for a ZIP file, not a bin file - I can't find any zip files in the examples - How does one generate the ZIP files?

All the documentation I can find for using the DFU reference MCP Version 3.7 - which doesn't use ZIP files.

Is there a document/tutorial that walks through using the DFU with MCP version 3.8?

It's in the docs here Creating a zip with image and init packet. I finally got DFU working but spent a couple of days pouring over docs, forum posts, and trying many things that didn't work.

A full walkthrough from zero with the latest tools and SDK would be welcomed by all I think.

I spoke too soon, I've managed to DFU after flashing bootloader but extending my app or even using the ble_app_hrs example to trigger reset to bootloader doesn't work for me.

I see the same using the nordic app. I can program the first time but the software trigger isn't working for me.

Were you able to resolve this issue? If not Can you try using SDK8.1

Everything is fully functional for me at this time. If I remember right it may have been an issue of increasing pstorage number of applications to handle both device manager and my application-specific storage.
