SoftDevice with Timer peripherals goes to app_error_weak.c

I am trying to measure frequency of a gpio pin.

I am using the code from the below thread -

I did modify it to be suitable with the new SDK V17.

I have added the custom ble service / characteristic tutorial code along with this.

When I run the code on debug mode, it goes to app_error_weak.c

I am not sure why this is happening. I tried to create break points but I am unsure from where this is being triggered.

However, the BLE service runs fine. It does not stop or create issues.

I am a bit new to SoftDevice. May I know where am I going wrong?

First off, the case you're linking to is more than five years old, so I think it's safe to say that a lot of that information is deprecated, or should at least be taken with a grain of salt. 

What device are you using in this project and are you using a Development Kit or a custom board? Do you have any kind of debug log to refer to, as I don't think a timer should lead you to app_error_weak.c. Do you have any more information on what exactly is causing this error?

Hello Simon,

I am currently using the adafruit-feather based on nrf52832 .

As far as I know, I have replaced the deprecated part - Timers in mode 1 to mode 2.

I am trying to get a debug log enabled. I use segger embedded studio and j-link. 

Could you please guide me to getting that debug log?

I tried to modify the sdk_config.h for the logging but the segger tool does not show me the error at the debug console. It is all blank.

Reg the sdk_config.h : tried the CMSIS config wizard installation but it does not show up. I am using Ubuntu 18.04. I have java installed.

I need help with enabling the logging manually. I do not see anything on the debug console.

I manually enabled logging.

Hi

Please make sure you've set NRF_LOG_BACKEND_UART_ENABLED to 0 in sdk_config.h. If you still don't see any information in the debug terminal, please try changing the 

NRF_FPRINTF_FLAG_AUTOMATIC_CR_ON_LF_ENABLED define in sdk_config.h as well.

NRF_LOG_BACKEND_UART_ENABLED set to 0 already. 

NRF_FPRINTF_FLAG_AUTOMATIC_CR_ON_LF_ENABLED is  also set to 1

I am seeing nothing.
