Application not starting when I program my custom Adafruit feather NRF52832

Hi,

Tools used for programming

I am trying to program my custom Adaruit nrf52832 board through NRF connect Programmer.

I am using Nordic nrf52DK to program  Adafruit nrf52832 DK and my Custom Adafruit nrf52832  via JTAG.

Using Adafruit recommended soft device.

I programmed my Adafruit nrf52832 DK and the upload of softdevice hex and the Application hex was successful and the applications runs and i am able to see the ble name on nrf connect app on my phone.

When I program my custom board Adafruit feather nrf52832 module. The upload is a success but the application is not starting. I used the sample application hex which was used for the Adafruit nrf52832 DK

Hi,

Do you have the 32.768 kHz LF crystal on your custom board? If not, you may have to configure the application to use the internal RC oscillator.

Yes I do have 32.768 kHz LF crystal on my board

Have you tried debugging the application, to see if there are any errors or HardFaults, etc?

No, i haven't tried to debug how do i debug on Adafruit feather board. I have previously done debugging on NRF52 Dk but for this one i tried to debug on the adafruit  feather dk it works fine.

I assume that you have a SWD interface, since you have managed to program the board? You can use the debug out port on the DK to connect the custom board to the on-board debugger of the DK, then you run debugging from the IDE/debugger application like you would with the DK.

You only need VDD, GND, SWDCLK, and SWDIO to debug the application on the board. In addition you need to connect VTG of the DK to the VDD of the custom board, to make if debug this board, rather than the nRF5 chip on the DK.
