issue with nrf5340pdk not executing the firmware

Hi, 

I have a problem with nrf5340pdk not executing the firmware. I have to build a hello_world sample from ncs v1.4.99-dev1 and I flash the development kit with the west tool, but I do not get any output. The same is with the blinky example. Also when using nrfjprog I can do reset and recover without a problem. This board was working before, but at one moment it stoped and since there is no additional hardware I am not sure why, especially since the firmware is flashing. 

In the end, I tried nRF Connect for desktop. There I get some errors when validating the flashed firmware:

what could be the issue for this kind of behavior?

I suppose that it is something wrong with the nrf53 chip.

when I do:
west flash --recover
everything is erased ok

but then I do:
west flash
and i get this response:

I know this should be working since I have a new nrf53dk that can be flashed

Could you run the command with the argument --log and provide me with the resulting log file? So we can take a look at the full log file.

Thanks. It looks like it's failing to halt the chip during the erasing for some reason. You can try power-cycling and then trying again? If that doesn't work we will take a closer look tomorrow.
