Introducing a mixer on nRF24L01+

Respected Sir, Mam

I am Noel Joe Riju Antony a student of Amity University, Noida, India pursuing a B.Tech in Aerospace engineering. I am currently working on a CW radar project and was hoping that you would be able to verify the feasibility of adding a mixer between the duplexer and the RF synthesizer in the nRF24L01+ transceiver. This is done so that I can convert it into a CW radar and measure speeds. I really am hoping to get some information on this.

That's not possible, sorry. There are no access to the RF part of the radio in the nRF24L01+. If you can add the mixer externally and use the radio with a constant carrier as an oscillator only, it might work. But you'd have to make the RX part with something else as the nRF24L01+ receiver can't be used here.

Thank you for the assistance. Could you also let me know if it's possible to measure the range of an obstacle using it, as it has the necessary components for it, or any information on how to build the nRF24L01+ so that I can modify it for my application?. Is it possible to get a detailed list of components used on the module? I would really appreciate your help.

As the nRF24L01+ is not made for such use, it will be a useful student exercise for you to see if you can make it work ;-)
