Fail to build ble_app_hrs on raspberry pi 2

The gcc compiler is gcc-arm-none-eabi-4_9-2015q2.

The make version is GNU Make 4.0 (Build for arm-unknown-linux-gnueabihf).

The error message is:

... arm-none-eabi-gcc: Syntax error: word unexpected (expecting ")")

... Makefile.common: 122 : recipe for target '_build/main.o' failed

Please advise what might be the problems? Thanks in advance.

Hi Max, I haven't seen tried this and don't really know how to fix it. But just curious why you want to build the project on the Raspberry PI ? I'm not sure it's possible to flash the chip via the RP2.

I have flashed BLE Nano via RP2 by drag-n-drap hex files built on a PC. So it would be nice if I can build directly on RP2.

@Max: I assume you have modified the makefile.posix (for gcc on Linux I assume) so that it point to the correct gcc-arm-none-eabi folder ?

Have you tried to compile a more simple project ? Such as the blinky one ? Which SDK did you use ?

Yes, I modified the makefile.posix. I tried to the blinky_example just now and it failed the same way. The SDK I am using is v6.1.0.

@Max: Could you try to compile with SDK v9.0 ? We fully supported gcc from SDK v8.0. Could you do "make VERBOSE=1" and take a screenshot ?
