Thingy:91 debugging

Hello,

I am a total beginner and trying to use the Thingy:91 to write in a firebase database with sensors data. I'm at the beginning and trying to set up the debugging with the thingy. From what I understood, there is no debugger included and I need to get an external one. Which one is the most suited one ?

Thank you for the document! I am still a bit confused once everything is plugged in.

Am I supposed to load programs on the Thingy like before using the nrfConnect Programmer or should I be able to do it from Visual Studio ?

Hi Carole,

You can use either VS code or the programmer to program the Thingy:91 once it is connected through the debug port of nRF530DK..

Thank you for the answer. Could you be a bit more precise on how to do this? Is it the same procedure to flash code than on the thingy directly?

That is what I did and my Thingy is not detected anymore (it does not turn on neither is it detected by a computer) so I am worried that I did something wrong...

HI Carol,

If you connect the Thingy to the debug out pin of nrf5340DK (P19) and flash the program onto the nrf5340, then the program will automatically be written onto the Thingy.. Did you connect the Thingy to P19.? Also, what is the position of SW2 on Thingy: nRF91 or nRF52?
