The Infocenter – our new documentation portal - has now been up and running since June and contains all of our technical documentation. We saw the need for this because we wanted to make our complete library more visible, and since the documentation is now found in the one place navigation has become easier, with related content housed together under relevant topics. We’re also making content available in HTML (but, the core documentation is still available in PDF too) which means we can make minor updates in HTML and have it uploaded faster. (HTML content is available from the nRF52 Series and forward with documentation for older products available in PDF only.)
There are some very nice features in the Infocenter that are worth pointing out: strong search functionality (more on this here); contains API documentation for both SoftDevices and SDKs; has different development scenarios to get you started; and also we’ve brought documentation on our various SW support tools together. This makes it easier to move through our documentation on getting started with one of our kits and also to see how all our different supporting tools are linked into the design flow. In fact, as we continue to develop and fine-tune the Infocenter it will begin to feel like it is one large seamless and interconnected document.
It’s worth knowing that eventually the documentation that is on our website will disappear and will only be available in the Infocenter.
In the next few months you’ll notice that we will be adding extra features for better usability – for example, we are currently working on getting revision flagging implemented, so you will see the changes made between different revisions of a document.
The Welcome page keeps you posted on updates to the documentation and also on any new features that are added, so it’s worth keeping an eye on it.
