Do you mean this SDIO protocol, or something else? There is a SDIO driver in the SDK, but I'm not sure that this is what you're looking for. From the header file this is a "2-wire serial interface driver (compatible with ADNS2080 mouse sensor driver)". Which WiFi device are you trying to interface? Does it only support SDIO protocol?
Hi Jørgen,
Actually, a WiFi module of our new device only supports SDIO interface.
I have checked the nRF5 SDK v12.1.0, there is a SDIO driver, it's really good.
But I have a question, the SDIO driver looks like driving by software GPIO controlling.
Is it really stable If there are some BLE tasks(high priority task) running at the same time?
Thanks a lot.
Yes, you are correct. There is no SDIO hardware peripheral on the nRF52 series, so the driver in the SDK is a software implementation using GPIOs. The softdevice will allways have highest priority, meaning that timing requirements of the SDIO protocol (if any) might not be meet. You will have to do some testing on this in your application.
