Even though the SIG hasn't finalized yet and the 1.4.0 SoftDevice isn't out... Can we get a heads up on what to expect for 1.3.0 BLE 4.2 compatibility?

On something like speeds and throughput I'll expect different modes (long range mode) or high-speed mode, etc. Maybe interval adjustments that don't exist for 4.2

With GATT transfer sizes... How closely will the applications look in terms of the 20-23 byte limit in 4.2 and the expected much larger in BLE5?

Basically, could use you take a 1.3.x application and put link it to the 1.4.0 device and execute? Where all the new features are just not utilized?
