nRFgo Studio cannot program custom board

Dear Nordic Community,

I am using the the nrf51 dev kit to try and program a custom board (nrf51822) connected to it via the the Debug Out connector. This setup has worked very well in the past for some reason stoped working all of the sudden. When I open nrfgo studio I can see the dev board and I can click on it. It brings up the programming window briefly but then it immediately disappears. If I disconnect the custom board, the dev kit can program the dev board ARM without a problem. I have checked connection of RESET(3.3V), SWDIO, SWCLK, and GND. All seem to be connected from my board to the DK. My board looks to be powered and RESET/pin 1 is 3.3V. What would cause the dev kit to show up but then the programming window to come up and then crash?

Are you powering the custom board from the nRF51 DKs VDD? Are you able to program the custom board if you use nrfjprog?

I have exactly the same problem. I can flash SD and code with Keil 5 but not with nRFgo studio. So I think the HW connections are good. Where is the problem?

Is any setting tab in nRFgo Studio application? Could not fin such tab. Only Help & View...

I use the nRF52810 chip and cannot compare with a DK (unfortunately there is not any DK for this chip).

Hi Andre,

nRFGO Studio is deprecated and does not fully support the new additions to the NRF52 series, e.g. the nRF52810 and the nRF52840. The programming GUI in nRFGo studio will be replaced with a nRF Programmer application in the nRF Connect for Desktop framework. However, this app is still in an experimental state, so meanwhile i recommend that you use nrfjprog from nRF5x Command Line Tools to flash firmware to your devices.
