Production customization - nrfjprog, serial number

I have device with nrf5x and I will customize this device on production. I use to flashing nrfjprog.

Will prepare one hex file and customize e.g serial number during flashing.

How to write serial number to device using nrfjprog? and how to read this SN in firmware application e.g. to use in advertising packet.

You can use the customer registers in the UICR for this.

With nRF52:

nrfjprog -f nrf52 --memwr 0x10001080 --val 0xCAFEBABE

In your application you can get the data with:

uint8_t serial_number[4];

memcpy(serial_number, (uint32_t *)0x10001080, 4);
