Is it possible to have a second UART on nrF52?

Hello,

I would be interested on knowing whether I may have a secondary UART on the nrF52 chip or not. I would like to communicate my nRF52 with a RN2483 and this is done through UART, however I see that UART is used as well (on SDK12.2) in order to debug.

Is then possible to have another UART connection towards the nrF52?

What I did not to waste UART for debug purpose is I moved to RTT debugging - it only utilizes SWD lines for that. There is only one uart on nRF52832. There are 2 UARTs on nRF52840 as far as I know.

hi @Wojtek, thanks for replying. So when you enable debugging in the sdk_config.h, all that data goes to the RTT debugging or to the UART?

You have to configure sdk_config.h - when You do it correctly, it all goes to RTT.

No, enabling and selecting RTT as the logging sink. There are not many options, why don't you just open it ex. by keil configuration wizard, and just try? I don't have access to my sources at the moment, but I am sure you will get how to do it in just few minutes. Also, everything is desribed here
