nrf52832 not being recognized by keil, Segger, nrfGo

Whenever I try to flash the device in keil, I get a no Jlink device found. I get a similar message when trying to connect to the device via Segger. nrfGo Studio just does not show the device.

The development kit has a few sensors attached to it and the last code that I downloaded to it still runs without any issues, but I can't update the code. Also, all of the previously mentioned programs have no trouble recognizing another nrf52832.

Any ideas for what I could do to get the dk working again?

Is this a nRF52 DK (PCA10040) you are using? Is the device showing up as a JLINK mass storage device when you connect it, or is it not recognized at all?

yes I am using the nrf52 DK (PCA10040), nad its not showing up as a JLink mass storage. It does power the device and run the ble application that I downloaded to the device though.

Could you try to put the device into bootloader mode by holding the IF BOOT\RESET button while powering the board? If you see a mass storage device named BOOTLOADER, try to reflash the JLink OB IF firmware found here.

This could happen if the board is put into bootloader mode by mistake, and a non-supported firmware is drag-and-dropped to the board. I'm not aware of any other ways the firmware can stop working like this.
