Query related to third party products

Hello, I am referring to this link www.nordicsemi.com/.../3rd-Party-Bluetooth-low-energy-Modules

and I am referring to Xuntong PTR5518 11 15x15x2mm PCB China product on the link. Now I want to buy the same product from
www.aliexpress.com/.../1705282663.html

My doubt is product available on the link says it is ble 4.0 and not ble 4.2. So I am confused if it is ble 4.0 or ble 4.2. I want to buy ble 4.2 based nrf chip. So should I buy that?

I came across this link www.nordicsemi.com/.../Nordic-powered-Bluetooth-Smart-module-simplifies-development-of-wireless-wearables-toys-and-smart-home-solutions and want to know can I use this third party device but problem remains same as it says it is ble 4.0. It works on At commands so my doubt is can I use my nrf code for example ble_app_gls code with this module by using swdio swclk pins?

I don't know which revision of the nRF51822 that is inside the module, you would have to ask the manufacturer about that. In this you can see that revision 3 supports the latest SoftDevices, which are 4.2. That said that doesn't mean they support all 4.2 optional features. What specific features do you need?

As long as you have access to the SWDIO and the SWCLK you should be able to program the chip with whatever you want.

I want to run latest ble_app_gls example from sdk 12.2.2 on that module. So if I upload the softdevice file with the help of pins swdio and swclk will I be able to use that module the same way as I am using dk pca10028? Thanks

It depends on the revision of the nRF51822 inside the module. And maybe not the exact same firmware, it depends a bit on the hardware configuration used with the chip, the nRF51 DK has both HF and LF crystals. Some modules only have HF.
