during advertising, let specific device know, there is new information to receive

Hey guys,

is there a way to let the devices know (during the advertising) that there is new information on the peripheral to receive and the devices should connect? Usecase: A device connects, writes something on the ble peripheral, and then the peripheral should send specific advertising data, so that other devices see that something has changed.

I don't want to hack anything, so probably there is a way how bluetooth handles such cases.

You can add a manufacturers specific data section to your advertising packet and put any information you would like in the advertising packet. It would give you the flexibility to do what you want. You do need to request a manufacturer ID from the SIG, but they are free and it is a simple request to make.
