best practice for using memory protection unit

Hello,

can you provide a best practice guide on how to use memory protection unit in nRF52832.

I am interested to know if MPU can protect user defined memory regions with access restrictions.

We are planning to use nRF52832 without a RTOS for a medical device which has comply to safety standard IEC 62304.

Just for my curiosity, what do you expect from that protection? Are you running several "FWs" on one device? If not what are you protecting and against what?

I recommend looking into using the BPROT (Block protection) peripheral. It can be used to prevent application code from erasing or writing to protected memory blocks.
