iOS NrfConnect crashes and NrfToolbox with heart sensor

So we have the Arduino 101 board talking to a heart rate sensor MAX30100. When we run the nrf connect app on android it is able to connect to the sensor with no issues. When we try connect through the iOS app , as we click connect then it flashes the next screen and whole app crashes back to the iOS home screen. Ver 1.7. However when we install the toolbox app it is able to connect to the sensor with no problems?

does anyone have any ideas? it is running zephyr 1.599 and will be moving to 1.6 once this is resolved

Which iOS version are you using?

Iphone is running 10.3.1 and an ipad is running a version 8 something. Problem happens on both devices

Should also mention that it was working with a different sensor on ios before , but this is the sensor that we have to use

Not sure why changing the sensor device would affect the stability of the app on iOS. Can you provide a sniffer log so I can see what's happening on air?

Ok had to rewrite my comment as i misunderstood, nRF Connect crashes on iOS but not nRFToolbox, I'll see if i can reproduce anything similar here and let you know shortly!
