What is the maximum SPI speed of nrf24l01+

Does anyone know the maximum baud rate of the nrf24l01+? I am trying to talk to it through SPI but observe that when I increase SPI speed I read incorrect values. Does anyone have any idea?

Despite the fact that the datasheet says about the maximum speed of SPI is 10MHz, I have several modules that works perfectly well on 16 and 18MHz. No pull-ups on SPI lines, length of traces between MCU and nRF24 in worst case is about 30mm.
