BLE config

Hi all,

I am using nRF52832 DK for my project. I need to config BLE for connecting with my phone. After a lot searching, I know that I can use softdevice API for configuring BLE. The problem is that I can not find any document about softdevice BLE API. I also modified an BLE example (ble_app_uart), and it worked, but I can not do anything further. Can anyone help me please?

All Soft Devices are documented on Infocenter here and here. Which Sot Device and nRF5x chip/board you use? Also by "modify" you mean you've changed the code and recompiled ble_app_uart project or some other action?

Hello,

I am using softdevice s132 version 5.0.0-1.alpha and nRF52832 DK (PC10040). I said "modify", I mean I used functions in "ble_app_uart" example to create my own .c and .h file but I don't know to change these function correctly in order to work as I wish (like connecting to my phone automatically or send a character/ a file to my phone). Can you tell me how to configure BLE using softdevice APIs?

I'm afraid I cannot lead you step by step how to use Nordic Soft Device API but there are many great tutorials and step by step guides on their pages. I'd start with Tutorials here and Getting Started guide here. Have you managed to do some basic sanity checks like recompiling example project as it comes from SDK without any modifications (and test that it works the same as original HEX file from Nordic)?

I first complied and flashed example from SDK without any modifications, and after it worked, I tried to modify it. My code works as the example, but I dont know how to modify it :(( I will read the websites you give me, thanks for that :D

Another problem is that, I don't distinguish clearly between advertising, services, characteristics, central. :(( Can you briefly explain for me please?
