sd_ble_gap_addr_set() error 0x10

I am trying to set custom value to advertising address. The code snippet is below. I am getting error code 0x10.

p_addr->addr_type = BLE_GAP_ADDR_TYPE_RANDOM_STATIC;
for(itr_i=0; itr_i<6; itr_i++)
{
   p_addr->addr[itr_i] = rx_buffer[itr_i+1];

err_code = sd_ble_gap_addr_set(p_addr);
APP_ERROR_CHECK(err_code);

Please help me understand this error. I have attached the stack trace.

Well have you looked at the documentation to the function you're calling which lists out all the error codes? 0x10 is NRF_ERROR_INVALID_PTR which means you've sent an invalid pointer.
