What is the maximum length of pdu for ble advertisement? I have ported the example application of solar powered beacon without softdevice. I just wanted to know if it was possible to have payload length greater than 37 and if I could send more data by increasing the payload length.

No if you want to be compliant with BT SIG v4.0-4.2 (PDU max is 37B leaving effectively for Adv. data payload 31B). You could try to implement Adv. data extension according to BT SIG 5.0 but I'm afraid there won't be many devices which could scan these (and this will be changing slowly as every adoption cycle)...

If you need more than 37 bytes(effectiv 31 bytes), you also have the opportunity to put that data in the scan response packet.
