Hi,

Adertising extentions and periodic advertising is supported by the hardware in nRF52840, but is currently not supported in the softdevice. We are working on adding support for this, and it should be released soon.

Angle-of-departure (AoD) requires additional hardware (multiple antennas), and is not supported by the nRF52840. AoD is not in the Bluetootj 5 spec either.
