Reverse current / Battery Protection

I want to use the nrf52840 with DCDC in high voltage mode to drive the circuite directly from a LI-ION battery.

Is there any reverse current protection built into the chip or are there any recommendations how to protect the circuit?

I saw this question already but I want to know if perhaps the new nrf52840 has already something built in?

Hi, there's no built-in protection on the nRF52840. I believe a good solution would be to design it so it is physically impossible to insert the battery the wrong way. If that is not possible, the good old reverse voltage protection diode is a simple solution.
