nRF52840 no longer advertising or flashing led

I have been testing out with NRF52840 and verifying the data transmission using the NRFConnect app on my mobile. I am not sure what went wrong! It's no longer advertising and I get to see the device under the bonded section on the app instead of scanning(which used to be the earlier case). Although I tried flashing the program again, it did not help. Kindly advise me to retrieve the device to the earlier peripheral state of advertising. Thanks in advance!

Isn't nRF52840 target on the board erased? Is the SEGGER J-Link OB firmware running on the board (how it calls itself as USB device in PC host file manager?)

I think I messed up with the firmware. Erased everything and flashed the soft device again. However, it is not connecting right now and throws error 22 gatt conn terminate localhost.

Try erasing the chip, reflash both the application and softdevice, close the nRF Connect app, turn on and off the bluetooth adapter on your phone and then try to reconnect.
