Save changed parameter using nRF Connect

I cannot seem to save the new Device Name value in the nRF51822 beacon. I am using the mobile app nRF Connect. This is my procedure:

1).Run nRF Connect on Android device 2).Press SW2 on nRF51822 beacon 3).In "Beacon Config" Press "Connect" 4).In "Client" Tab "Device Name" Press UP arrow 5).Enter New value, press SEND 6).In "Client" Tab, Value: now shows new Device Name Value Exit Android app.

Restart nRF Connect Android app Device name is shown as "N/A (nRF Beacon)

How do I save the new Device Name in the nRF51822 beacon?

I talked to a colleague here at Nordic and it seems there is no space in the advertising packet to put a beacon name. The name of the beacon is cut to save space for other important information. It is normal behavior that the name of the beacon is N/A.

However, if you must change the beacon name, here is another case which should answer your question! Hope that helps.
