Nordic SDK (softdevice) crashes during paring with Android 7.0

Hello,

We are facing a critical issue with our BLE peripheral product under development crashing during paring/bonding. The phones used are all different, but the ones running Android 7.0 crash the peripherad (device) running Nordic NRF52 chip with the Nordic SDK (s132).

This crash only happens with Android 7.0 on a Samsung device. (<-- EDIT)

We can see many such issues that relate to the Android 7.0 paring and connection on the Internet. We do however, see a crash and not a disconnection. Both are of course not acceptable.

Is this a known issue with Nordic <-> Android 7.0 interaction or is the BLE stack of Android 7.0 broken? Do you have a workaround? Do we run the latest version of the SDK?

• Softdevice used is s132_nrf52_3.0.0_softdevice.hex
• SDK version is unknown.

SDK version is unknown? Why? It is difficult to know what is going on without a sniffer trace, but this mentions some things that you can try.
