Thingy:52 doesn't work after upgrading to 1.1.0 through the iOS app

As mentioned here, my poor little Thingy:52 doesn't work after upgrading to version 1.1.0 through the iOS app.

After getting my Thingy:52 i played arround with it for a while. Later the same day I updated the firmware through the iOS app while it was running on battery power. After a complete firmware update i wasn't able to connect to the Thingy and it had stopped flashing its pretty little lights. Since then I've tried to connect it to a USB power source and put it bootloader mode (which works — I'm able to find the Thingy, connect to it and re-upload firmware to it). After uploading firmware the device reboots and is again impossible to find via Bluetooth and doesn't blink its pretty little lights.

I've also tried to download new firmware to my computer to use the "custom" option in the app, but the "Import with Thingy" option mentioned when long pressing the zip file, doesn't exist (I'm on the newest version of iOS) and can't be found under the "More" button.

At last i tried connecting to it with the Android phones of two of my colleagues. None of the phones where able to see the Thingy via Bluetooth unless i put it in bootloader mode. When in bootloader mode their apps couldn't connect to it, since it entered a flow for setting up a connection to a functioning Thingy and didn't display any options to enter bootloader mode.
