When will nrf52840 get the ESB and FreeRTOS support?

I was going through all the supported SDKs for the nrf52840 and in all of them, it is mentioned that the ESB and FreeRTOS support is not there yet. Could someone please let me know when the support for FreeRTOS and ESB will be there?

Hi Chitrang!

The release schedule is still TBD, so we don't know exactly when support for ESB and FreeRTOS will be released.
However, it should be out by Q2 next year (2018).

I will try to update this thread as soon as I know more.

Thank you for the answer. We can still use the example of the nRF52 PCA10040 for the FreeRTOS and ESB. THose examlpes are for PCA 10040. We can change the relevant configurations and use it for nrf52840? Is this correct understanding?

Yes, you are correct. I talked to a colleague here at Nordic, and he told me that atleast the FreeRTOS example should pretty much work out of the box with the nRF5240. Remember to change the compiler settings to match the nRF52840.
I'm not sure about the ESB example, but I'll do some research and get back to you.
