Debug NRF52832 + SoftDevice S132 undo Keil v5

Dear experts,

I'm a new user of NRF52 technology and I use:

• Keil µVision v5
• NRF52832 (PCA10040)
• Keil software pack 8.15 from Nordic Semi
• debugger Cyclone FX from PEMicro

Can you help me please for the following questions:

• what is the SoftDevice version of my current software development pack?
• which document can me give RAM and ROM size of the SoftDevice occupation?
• how can I debug my application which uses SoftDevice without erase SoftDevice area?

Hi Romain!

Have you downloaded the nRF5 SDK?
As you are using the nRF52832, I suggest the latest SDK (currently 14.2.0).

You can take a look at the compability matrix in the infocenter to find out which softdevice version you should use.

You can find more information about the RAM/ROM requirements in the softdevice specification.
Here is the S132 SoftDevice v5.1.0 specification. In chapter 14 (page 64) you can read about the memory requirements.

There is several posts here on devzone about debugging, so I would suggest that take a look around and see if you can find some useful information. This one might be of help.

this indicates that library (softdevice + drivers) is outdated undo Keil toolchain development.
