nrfjprog.exe Specification?

Is there any kind of specification for how nrfjprog.exe works? I would like to write an OSX equivalent.

Hi there,

For the most part nrfjprog.exe implementation relies on the public documentation available in the following documents:

S110 SoftDevice Specification nRF51822 Product Specification nRF51822 Reference Manual

You may not be able to implement all of nrfjprog.exe's features, but you should be able to flash a SoftDevice and application.

edit: I will however forward your interest to the relevant people inside Nordic to see if they can comment further on the matter.

I cannot comment on future products, but please note that we are aware of the void that exists today with regard to nrfjprog and non-Windows operating systems.

This isn't really an answer to your question, but I implemented some of the most useful functionality into a shell script, which might be a good starting point. It's here: github.com/.../nrfjprog.sh

If you improve it or write a better one please let me know (or submit a PR to the repo).
