nRF51822 Beacon v1.1.0 iOS DFU error

Hi,

I'm testing new nRF51822 Beacon v1.1.0 dedicated for smart beacon kit (pca20006). I'm using nRF Toolbox app version 1.4 and iphone 4s with ios 8.1.2. I've followed the firmware upgrade procedure from nRF51822 Beacon Firmware Documentation v1.1.0. I've uploaded s110_nrf51822_7.1.0_softdevice.hex and then nrf51822_beacon_bootloader.hex file from Precompiled hex directory using nRgo Studio (1.17.1). I've noticed an error: Invalid Response while trying to upload the aplication file "ble_app_rscs_s110_v7..." over the air using nRF Toolbox app. How to upload new application file using nRF Toolbox ios app? Are there any "init" files needed like in nRF Toolbox Android app? Can anyone provide detailed instruction on how to do this for iOS?

Hi Adam

Yes, the bootloader in nRF51 SDK 7.1.0 requires init file (.dat file format) with the hex/bin file that is uploaded to the device. This does not seem to supported yet in the latest IOS nRFToolbox v1.4, so the only thing to do for now is to use Android phone to do this as instructed on your previous thread.

If everything goes as planned, IOS nRFToolbox v1.5 should be available on app store by the end of this week.
